MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrate four (4) years of experience in computer and associated equipment operation.
- Associate’s Degree or direct relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree on a year for year basis. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Exceptional computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible.
- Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Have the knowledge and skills to understand Local Area Networks (LAN).
- IT Certifications a plus.
- Fiber-optic cabling experience a plus.
- Demonstrate competence through satisfactory performance as an Electronic Technician or IT Specialist.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
The expected travel time is less than 75%.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed indoors in a classroom environment but may also be performed in alternate maintenance / classroom facility. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position consists of standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools, wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE
- Pay range: $30 hourly
