MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess at least three (3) years of experience in custodial services, two (2) of which must have been supervisory, which includes knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment and supplies, is required.
- Must have basic reading and writing skills.
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Ability to follow and work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.
- Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides.
- Ability to take direction.
- Able to prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Able to perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong attendance record and be punctual.
- Able to work with others in a professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be exceedingly well organized, flexible.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in an office setting and/or building. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires the ability to bend, reach, stretch, push, pull and stand for extended periods; lift heavy objects, operate medium weight cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, etc.; moving equipment, supplies, and furniture, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; walking or standing for extended periods, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE
- Pay range: $52,000/year
