MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 to 5 years similar land management experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, and flexible.
- Knowledge and ability to work with other local native corporations on issues of common concern.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other software as required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to make decisions in that environment.
- Ability to work as a functioning member of a team.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitor own work to ensure quality.
- Proven ability to exercise mature judgment – specifically in recognizing and respecting the confidential nature of corporate and personnel matters.
EDUCATION
- Minimum education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
DRIVING REQUIREMENT
- Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy.
- Driving may be required when traveling and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 50%.
TRAVEL
Travel required up to 50% as needed locally around and between Anchorage and Ouzinkie and ONC properties to fulfill job duties. Some additional travel may be needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position consists of using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to focus; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Work performed indoors is in a professional office setting and in some locations with a wide variety of people in different functions, personalities, and abilities. Work performed outdoors may be in many different conditions include adverse conditions and inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions.
Exposure to sharp objects and possible exposure to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead, and vibrations is possible. ONC strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment, dependent on the task, is required.
