MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university OR five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training.
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or equivalent required.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint required.
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Experience with government contracting preferred.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and management team, good written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of being entrusted with “Confidential” information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively balancing multiple concurrent assignments, flexible with job duties and scope of work.
- Detail-oriented, self-started, analytical in nature, enthusiastic, energized, and requires little supervision
- Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gathers, analyzes, and interprets both financial and general business information skillfully.
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills, prepares and delivers written reports, conducts meetings.
- Ability to delegate work assignments, give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitors delegated activities.
- Ability to include staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement, is available to staff, provide regular performance feedback and provide strategic feedback related to payroll as needed to senior management.
- Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions.
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
- Ability to actively promote and personally observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Thorough knowledge of payroll-related regulations both federal and state.
- Excellent computer skills utilizing spreadsheets and accounting software.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
Potential for travel. When required, employee will need to complete an MVR check.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a professional office setting and home office setting including the normal office equipment (computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
